AI Art Commercial Use Guide: Rights, Risks, and Compliance on ArtCraft
How to think about commercial use of AI-assisted images on ArtCraft AI Online — inputs you own, output review, marketplace rules, credits, and how Terms + Privacy split cloud AI from local Craft apps.

Start with the uncomfortable truth
AI image tools make it easy to produce pixels. They do not make it automatic to produce clearable commercial assets. Marketplaces, brand guidelines, and local law still expect a human to own the risk of what gets published.
This guide explains how ArtCraft AI Online frames commercial use: what you should assume, what our Terms of Service say in plain language, and how that differs from browser-local Craft office apps.

What “commercial use” usually means here
For sellers and marketers on ArtCraft, commercial use typically includes:
- Product listing images (white background or lifestyle)
- Paid social / display ads
- Pitch decks and one-pagers that include generated or rembg’d assets
- Packaging mockups used internally (still review trademarks)
It does not automatically include: using a generated famous character, cloning a competitor’s trade dress, or publishing medical/financial claims the image implies.
Inputs you must have rights to
Before you upload:
- Photos you own or licensed — factory shots, your studio RAW exports, contractor work with a license that allows AI processing if required
- No stolen catalog scrapes you do not have permission to process
- No identity photos you are not allowed to process under privacy law
PhotoCraft tools upload images to inference providers (currently Fal) for rembg / generate / inpaint / upscale paths. If your contract forbids cloud processing, do not use those tools.
Outputs: what we claim — and what we do not
Subject to the Terms and model-provider rules, you may use outputs you generate on ArtCraft. We do not claim:
- That outputs are unique worldwide
- That outputs are free of similarity to existing works
- That logos and packaging text are accurate
- That a marketplace will accept the asset
AI is probabilistic. Treat every HD export as a draft until a human signs off.

A practical clearance checklist (operator SOP)
| Check | Pass criteria | | --- | --- | | Subject truth | Product shape/color match the SKU you sell | | Text / logos | No invented brand marks; real marks only if licensed | | Background | Pure white if the channel requires it | | People | Model releases if recognizable humans appear | | Sensitive claims | No implied medical/performance claims the photo invents | | File rights | You can prove source photo + tool path if audited |
Credits, previews, and “is this the final file?”
ArtCraft separates:
- Preview — iterate within weekly / regional rules
- HD — credit-priced downloadable exports (see live Pricing)
- Craft Copilot — Pro subscription + 1 credit per message you send for allowlisted editor tools
Previews are for learning. Do not assume a watermarked or lower-fidelity preview is your commercial master.
Cloud AI vs local Craft — compliance language that survives review
Honest product copy matters for users and for advertising review:
| Surface | Typical data path |
| --- | --- |
| Background Remover, generate, inpaint, upscale | Upload → cloud inference |
| GridCraft / WordCraft / DeckCraft | Browser WASM editor; Copilot may send tool results |
| PdfCraft merge | Client-side pdf-lib |
Never write “100% on-device AI” for PhotoCraft HD. Prefer the wording on About and Privacy Policy (including AdSense cookie disclosures).

UGC and acceptable use (short version)
You may not use the service to create illegal, harmful, or infringing content, or to circumvent payment and rate limits. You are responsible for prompts, uploads, and downstream use. Full text: Terms (also available at /terms).
When you should talk to a lawyer (not a prompt)
- Regulated product categories (medical, financial, children’s products)
- Campaigns using celebrity likeness
- Selling the outputs as standalone “stock” without your own IP review
- Jurisdiction-specific AI labeling laws that may apply to your ads
ArtCraft support can help with billing and product behavior. We do not provide legal advice — contact support@artcraftai.online or Contact for product questions.
Recommended workflow that stays defensible
- Shoot or license a truthful product photo
- RemBG / white pack for listings; keep the original
- Generate lifestyle only for channels that allow stylization — disclose when needed
- Human QA against the checklist above
- Archive prompt + tool + credit receipt if finance asks later
Document retention for audits
Finance or brand teams sometimes ask “which tool made this?” Keep a lightweight folder per campaign:
- Source photo filename + date
- Tool URL (generator, rembg, white pack)
- Prompt text (or rembg settings)
- Whether the export was preview or HD
- Final filename shipped to the channel
You do not need a legal vault for every SKU — but a week of missing provenance is hard to rebuild after a takedown notice.

FAQ
If I paid credits, do I own the copyright automatically?
Paying for compute is not the same as a copyright opinion. Follow the Terms, provider rules, and your counsel’s advice for your jurisdiction.
Can I sell AI images as NFTs or stock?
Only if your rights, the Terms, and local law allow it — and after you clear likeness/trademark issues. We do not operate an NFT marketplace.
Where do I report a rights complaint?
Email support@artcraftai.online with URLs, proof of rights, and the asset in question. We review abuse and Terms violations.
